I want to create colorful art that lifts people’s hearts.
I work with acrylic, ink and mixed media and incorporate collage from paper found in markets and shops from around the world. People say my art conveys a happy and whimsical feeling and it helps them see hope through color and texture.
There is a bold voice to my art. My figurative and still life work represents some reality but it’s also abstracted or exaggerated to create mystery and fun. I am eager to explore all genres.
My early work consists of smaller water color paintings covered by intricate line drawings that were inspired by my travels. Today, I take more chances with my subject matter and use of color and create on a much larger scale.
My art is showcased in galleries and retail spaces as well as private collections across the US, Europe and Asia Pacific.
I live in Greensboro, North Carolina.
