I like to look at faces. When I paint faces, I don’t have an interest in realism. I like exaggeration + fun. It makes me feel alive.

Sirenes en Bleu
My inspiration: an almost faded photo of someone wearing a leotard. I simplified + duplicated the image, then painted in my “Matisse-inspired” style. 
Pink + Red
When I was young, I remember pairing pink + red was a fashion no-no. But not anymore! This 16×20 acrylic diptych on panels is highlighted with gold accents and is so happy. I have these displayed in our guest bathroom, framed in gold, which has lime green wall paper. Delicious!
